The Ginetta G3 was Ginetta's first fibreglass shell and chassis combination, being produced between 1959 and 1963. The G3 was an improved G2.
Sold as a two-eater bodyshell only, and, since Ginetta didn't sell the whole car, they were happy for the shell to be known as a Fairlite. The shell cost £214 and was designed to be fitted to a Ford 8-10 hp chassis. The cars were often fitted with the 997cc Ford 106E engine.
The car was available as a fixed head coupe or open.
Only 60 cars were made during the production run.
