The Model A was the first automobile produced by the Packard Motor Company. Only five were made in 1899.
The last one produced was also the first Packard sold, to a Warren, Ohio, business man named George Kirkham.
The cars had a A 142.6 cubic inch cast-iron one-cylinder engine which produced 9hp. They were fitted with a 2-speed planetary gearbox. The wheelbase was 71.5 inches long.
