The Packard Twelve is a series of V12 cars that the Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit in the model years 1933 to 1939 as a successor of the model Twin Six made.

Introduction[]

1933, the twelve-cylinder Packard Twin Six model the more prestigious name "Twelve". The models 1005 and 1006 have now wheelbase of 3607 mm or 3734 mm.

The V12 engine is unchanged from the previous model: its cylinder angle was 67 °, 87.3 mm bore and stroke of 101.6 mm. This resulted in a displacement of 7,300 cm ³. The engine delivered 160 bhp (118 kW) at 3.200/min. The two-disc wet clutch of the predecessor gave way to a single-plate, connecting the motor with the three-speed manual transmission with floor shift. From year to year[]
